The Chicago Cubs have revealed their Recreation 2 lineup in opposition to the Milwaukee Brewers, and followers will discover one large change.
Cubs supervisor Craig Counsell has inserted Justin Turner into the lead-off spot for Chicago, as they’re trying to knot up the sequence at one recreation apiece.
Whereas the transfer is noteworthy for the Cubs, as Turner has not but gotten an at-bat thus far within the playoffs, there’s a motive why Turner is changing Michael Busch atop the Cubs’ lineup.
That’s as a result of the Brewers will likely be beginning left-handed reliever Aaron Ashby as an opener in Monday’s recreation, and the Cubs will look to the right-handed Turner to counter that transfer by Brewers skipper Pat Murphy.
The remainder of the Cubs’ lineup is identical from the primary recreation of the sequence, with 5 of the primary six batter set to bat right-handed in opposition to Ashby if he makes it that far into the sport.
Nico Hoerner and Ian Happ, each of whom hit residence runs in Recreation 1 of the sequence, will bat second and fifth, respectively.
